Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical skills and be proficient in Microsoft office software, Xero & Sage . This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support and maintaining efficient office processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage and organise files, documents, and records for easy retrieval.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, directing inquiries as necessary.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when required.
  • Support the team with various clerical tasks as needed to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Utilise Microsoft office for document creation, spreadsheets, and scheduling.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks using Xero
  • Handle HR queries and send HR-related letters.
  • Record minutes during meetings and manage new starter inductions.
  • Maintain HR records and order uniforms.
  • Manage Staff holidays, recording, reconciling & accruals
  • Create and record monthly toolbox talks.
  • Ensure PPE is distributed and recorded.

Experience

  • Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office is essential.
  • Familiarity with Xero is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • AAT qualification or similar would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent typing skills and a keen eye for detail are required.
  • A professional demeanour with effective communication skills is essential for this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £15,000.00-£16,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 per week
