Kingston Cleaning Services (KCS) has carried out window and gutter cleaning at fire stations across the region, both in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
The services of KCS, headquartered in Londesborough Road, Hull, were contracted by councils in Hull, North East Lincolnshire and Lincolnshire. KCS’s operatives cleaned around 50 stations in all, strengthening its already strong reputation in this area.
Previously, KCS has completed cleaning services at fire stations across East Riding including Hull, Goole, Bridlington and Hornsea. The East Riding is the largest single fire district in England covering some 240,768 hectares (930 square miles) and has a population of 334,673.
In Lincolnshire, east coast flooding is one of the main risks to the area for which the fire service has lent its expertise. The tidal surge of 2013 was described as the most serious for 60 years, with 223 people from Boston forced to spend the night in evacuation centres.
